Paipas rugs for Ames (2024)

Our Paipas rugs are inspired by the adversities of the Paipa region, over 2500 meters of altitude. When we traveled through Colombia with Ames, the most diverse regions inspired us to create the most diverse products. And at one of the colder regions of all places, the lake landscape of the Boyacá region, produced four warm rugs for the coldest days of the year. The Paipas rugs are made using the traditional warp and weft method, a craft that we were enthusiastic about when we visited the local manufacturers. Using traditional techniques and with great skill, the carpet artists weave 100% virgin wool into organic shapes that bring out the natural colors of the fabric. Four subtle designs in sand, earth and stone tones that combine tradition with the spirit of the times.
